Having a little bit of problem with the tranny shifting and acceleration.

When the truck is warmed up and driving for a while. I will hit the pedal for the tranny to kickdown from OD to a lower gear to pick up speed on a hill or to pass. The truck seems to kickdown but will not accelerate. It like revs up and wont go any faster. Then when i let off the gas a bit and the truck upshifts back into OD it picks up speed.

Dont really know what is going on. Any help will be appreciated.

sounds somthing alike what happen to my 1995 suburban i had a short trip to chorpus christy TX about 3 hours away from home and my truck wouldent go faster up hills or on a flat surface it would accelerate but wouldent go faster what fixed it was the fsd from ssd called and orderd that with the 9 risistor and it worked fine since ure module gets hot over time it will not get enought watts i belive it runs from 2-500 watts that are needed to inject fuel to injectors, does it take a while to turn on in the mornings like i said changed that and my truck accelerated faster and preformed way better

i already have the fsd from SSD supply and the No. 9 resistor. This problem does not happen all the time. Only when driving for a while on a trip it does this. Dont think it is the fuel delivery. Something with the tranny. any thoughts out there

Transmission isnt holding it back. If it downshifts correctly its doing its job. Might test the might check the throttle pedal position sensor, or the fuel solenoid on the injector pump. Just my guess.

it downshifts yes but just revs. does not accelerate.

In order to accelerate you must add more fuel. The transmissions job is to downshift to make it easier for the engine to propel the vehicle faster. It is doing that. The problem lies with the engine, or something controlling the engine.

Sounds like fuel starvation to me.

I'm questioning the fuel filter.

Yes I'll agree, fuel filter. when I get a tank full of dirty fuel, the same thing happens.
