Fuel solenoid vs. fuel shutoff solenoid

I am working to resolve a DTC36 and the GM 94 Diesel service manual says to check all connections to and inspect the fuel solenoid.

I know where the fuel shutoff solenoid is but not the fuel solenoid. Is the manual talking about the same thing? Is there a fuel solenoid located somewhere near the FIP and if so does anyone no where?

I have already reolace the fuel shutoff solenoid about 6 months ago but it was posting its own DTC.

the fuel solenoid is on the back of the injection pump between the 8 steel injection lines.
