Remote starting units

Has anyone installed a remote starter on their 6.5? I was looking into it a while back but didn't ever follow through. Any thoughts on the whole remote starting concept and which brand... good, bad, other?

i have one on my truck works great about 45 sec delay to start.

What is the brand/model? do they all work great?

I have a Clifford 3.5 RSX...same exact thing as a Viper 791XV (same company makes them).

It works perfectly. Has an input on it for Glow plug operation. splice a wire into the glow plug light and it will wait for the light to go out, then start. Also happens to be one of the best alarms on the market. The remote has an LCD display on it to tell you when it running, lock/unlock status, and it will beep at you if the alarm goes off. Advertises a 1/4 mile range, but thats line of sight, no obstructions. I have parked the truck about 1000 feet away and it the signal still made it through my house, and 2 nieghbors houses.

It costs around $200, well worth it.
