I'm trying to install a remote starter for my truck. It needs an imput from the tach, i've tried a bunch of different wires. So can anyone help me figure out where to clip this wire in?

The tach runs off the Hall Effect from your alternator. Please check this out first, but I think it is the white wire that runs to the plug on your alternator.

Diesel Tach wire in my installers wiring guide shows as white .
According to the guide, its shows the wire location as "instrument cluster"

You may also need the "glow plug" or "Diesel wait to start" wire for your install. My guide shows this as dark blue with a location also at the "instrument cluster"
