I am going to put my deeper tranny pan on. Does any1 have any suggestions on an additive to run in the tranny.
I was thinking of running the LUCAS tranny formula.
If there is any others out there let me know so i can check them out.

As far as fluid for the transmission, in my opinion, there is only one thing to put in them, and that is Lubrication Engineers 7500 power fluid, available at www.le-inc.com. This stuff is bulletproof. I've used this stuff for over 20 years, in all kinds of different transmissions, TH400, 700R4, 4L80E, C6s and Allisons. This fluid does not fail, it does not burn. All these units have all seen very severe duty and the only reason I change it at 75 tp 100 thousand miles, is because of the mileage on it. Then I wonder why I changed it because it looks and smells exactly like the new stuff I'm putting it. It is about 4 times the cost of Dextron, but in the long run its a lot cheaper. That's my 2 cents worth on tranny fluid. Also I run LEs engine oil and gear oil.

Greetings Sixnickel, great post re: L.E. 7500 power fluid. I'm big fan of their products also. Put 7500 in the torque converter of an 80 ton hydraulic crane and got a 50*F temp. drop. A,lso a dragster ( rail ) runs 30*F cooler because of it. I have a friend in charge of fleet maint. for a large highway dept. on the edge of cape cod in mass. that claims the torque converter on their seaweed rake also lost 50*F using 7500. Another good point from this shop is the (5) 1 ton dumps pushing some heavy wet snow a few years ago and 4 trucks were losing ATF out of the front breather tube and the one truck that got 7500 in it just kept on plowing until the storm was over. Hard to beat an engineered product made with proprietary additives no one has been able to beat yet.You seem to be the answer man around here and I hope you keep it up.
