Since my block cracked i'm replacing my engine. With my old engine I got a lot of black smoke on heavy acceleration. I always heard the turbo spool especially with walts intake. Was something wrong with the engine or was it a low vacum/bad boost sensor? Also when I replaced my fuel filter, I opened up my drain valve and the truck shut off. The only way to keep it running was to keep the rpm's slightly above idle. Could this be a bad lift pump/ops switch?......Just tryin to eliminate the little problems so the new engine is trouble free :D

Drain valve open - engine shut off ? Definitly lift pump not working, due to bad OPS, bad lift pump or liftpump relay or a bad wire.

Hear turbo spool with ssd intake ? Normal.

Black smoke while HEAVY acceleration ? A bit is normal for a few seconds,but if more bad vacuum sensor or boost sensor or vaccum pump.
