lift pump?

jrichardson42 said he didnt have fuel in his fuel filter...if you dont have fuel in your fuel filter does that mean that your lift pump is bad? IF you do have fuel in you duel filter does that mean your lift pump is good?

Not necessarily in either case. Just cause the fuel lift pump doesn't run, doesnt mean it is bad. Fuel relay and/or oil pressure switch control the lift pump. either of those could be bad. Just cause there is fuel in your filter doenst necesarily mean lift pump is working. The injector pump will suck fuel from the tank if it is primed and no air in system. Air in system will cause pump to lose prime. The IP will NOT work as designed and will fail if it has to suck fuel from the tank for extended period of time.
