I have a 95 suburban 4x4 with 170K miles. I replaced the PMD about a year ago because of a stalling problem. It quit stalling but would still buck once and a while. The bucking is getting worse, to the point where I have to do something. I bought a new oil pressure switch about a month ago when I did my last oil change. I couldn't see the switch anywhere obvious so I looked in my trusty Chilton manual. It had a small picture that was worthless, and the description said it was next to the distributor. Distributor? What the heck is a distributor? I tripple checked to make sure I was looking at the right engine type in the manual, and yes it does say its next to the distributor. I didn't have enough time to so any real searching so I figured I'd get it next time. Can anyone tell me exactly where it is? I'm going to try re-torqueing the bolts to the PMD heat sink, hasn't been done since I put in the new one. Hope I dont need a new PMD.

You will find the Oil pressure switch at the rear of the block, behind the glow plug relay. You will have to remove the 2 bolts that hold the fuel filter down, but you do not have to move the filter. there is a metal bracket that mounts on same bolts that has to be slid out of the way. you do not have to disconnect any of that, just move towards passenger side. the OPS is on an angle kinda behind the driver side head. You will probably need a sending unit socket. Alos, be advised, when I did mine the connector was bad, and I ended up changing connector too. The female connectors inside of the weather tech had spread, so they were no longer contacting the male pins from the sender. look at the old sender, if the pins are dull and tarnished, that would be an indicator or that situation. Good luck!
