Boost gauge question.

I just installed a boost gauge and was wanting to know what kind of boost should I have at idle and reving the motor? I pulled the motor up to around 2500 rpm and had about 3 psi. Is that normal?

Thats probably about right with no load. without it being in gear and moving, it doesnt have a load on it so it isnt burning much fuel nor burning as hot and so therefor boost is minimal. It should peak about 11-12 PSI i believe while accelerating. Then drop off to 4 or so cruising down the highway.

I had a pretty good job on my hands. I replaced the turbo, injection pump, marine injectors, 4" exhaust, #9 resister, cold air intake system, heat sync, boost gauge, and pyro gauge. I hope this stuff makes a difference, I have worked my butt off! LOL! I took the inner fender out on the turbo side and that made everything easy to get to, got that tip off here! Thanks guys!!
