Well, I just received my FSD heat sink, resistor and P.M.D. in the mail and ready to install....Just wondering something, I removed the plastic resistor caps and am going to apply the heat sink compound and torque BUT it says to apply to pmd NOT the heat sink but it is going to end up mating anyway? I assume it is just to ensure that it surrounds the perimiter only of the P.M.D. to make sure the heat transfer is good? Do I apply it to the perimiter of the P.M.D. and then bolt and torque or do I apply to the perimiter and run a strip down the center to divide each resistor? Someone, please respond and guide me. Thanks guys!!

Thanks guys, with the help I received here, I was able to save over $300.00 doing it myself!!!! Local guys up here in Canada wanted 1st shop- $1,100.00 2nd shop $680.00 and neither one included the extra 13%tax! I now have it installed and it is running as it always did.

I used on Computer processors and hardware.

put the necesary on the HEATSINK, never put too much...
