I have a 1995 Suburban, and have owned for about 8-9 months with about 127,000 mi, and from the beginning I'd have some hard starting problems, mostly in the morning with the first start of the day. I've changed everything, including starter, glow plugs, fuel injectors, batteries, glow plugs relay switch, lift pump, even went to heavy gauge battery cables, everything but the injection pump, however the problem persists. When I add some fuel injection addititive it does start better for awhile but it doesn't last. Is this a sign that my injection pump is about shot??? Will a new pump solve my problem? Please advise
Thanks,

Rich

What glow plugs did you put in it? If 60G plugs, they will need a bit more on time to get hot enough. A override is a good idea when using 60G plugs. I'm going to assume you changed the fuel filter.

If the pump timing was off it would make it hard to start too wouldnt it? I dont know if it will always trip a code when the timing is off or not.
