Hi guys, Well, I'm not disappointed that I dont have any cold starting issues to complain about, especially on Christmas eve.

Here's a puzzler though...at least for me. How in the heck does a guy change the license plate lights (in rear bumper) on a 1999 Suburban. I assume this is probably the same set up for trucks, dullies and sub's.

Got stopped last night for no license plate lights and so far all I've managed to do is break one right off.

Appreciate any input.

Bulb holder is accessed from behind the bumper. It's just a1/4 turn and pull it out. Then replace bulb an reinsert.Somebody with a skinny hand/arm is a BIG help.

My 97 1 ton has a clip on the inside of the bumper you have to remove before you can get the fixture out. I have to take the whole fixture out first because my reciever hitch blocks access to the from under the bumper. I put LEDs in the last time I replaced them w/ a little di-electric grease. Hopefully, the LEDs will last as long as the truck does. (barring any trailer/longhorn damage)

Thanks Miller and Raney!!

I have the receiver hitch system on there too and that was my issue. I do not have small arms, hands, fingers so I pretty much wrenched my shoulder doing the job and then latter found that I had pretty much slashed up my hands on all the metal burs in there. What a fun job!

I appreciate the insight though because I probably wouldnt have approached the job the way you described. Knowing how these things go together and come apart is key to keeping things in shape. Thanks again!!
