How does more fuel with the marine injector get better milage? I can see more power...Anyone that has the marine injectors, have you noticed an increase in milage.

Last spring I installed marine injectors, 4" exhaust and 2 weeks later the 80 hp upgraded computer, in hopes of getting better mileage. I really didn't notice any difference in mileage, although I did notice an increase in power. It wasn't neck breaking power, but a significant difference. Now if I can get the added power without a decrease in mileage, I think that's a good thing.
Who knows, now that the truck sounds good and has more throttle response, maybe I have my foot in it more?

when you do all these mods such as exhaust, intake, injectors and a resistor it is letting the engine breathe and giving more fuel. you can run more fuel with the exhaust and intake to an extent and the marine injectors and resistor isn't really going overboard with the fuel as these engines are starved from gm. more fuel means more h.p. and more h.p. means less throttle at a given speed, so better fuel mileage. Unless your'e like me and just have your'e foot in it all the time then it's less fuel mileage and speeding tickets, well none for for me.......yet.

Better knock on wood for the tickets. My last ticket was in 1992. Although I've been stopped several times for a warning. I added a secret weapon when I got my new truck in '94. I got firefighter plates and in '95 added a IAFF (International Association of Fire Fighters) sticker in the rear window. These help alot. Sometimes the law just flash their lights, point the finger and move on. But I should also knock on wood, as you never know when you'll run into a hardnose.

Yes, you have to be a fire fighter to get those plates.

Just put them in mine. Got a noticable power increase, but the jury is still out on the fuel mileage.
