Courtesy Lights

I own a 94 C3500 crew cab. Noticed one night interior lights were on. Thinking I left the lights turned on through the wheel contoller in cab went out to turn them off with no luck. Changed door switches interior light switch and cargo light switch with no change in condition. Was doing some testing the other morning and on initial test system worked fine. As it warmed up inside cab the condition returned. Then turned on A/C to cool interior and after a few minutes system worked fine again. Any suggestions?

Perhaps bad light switch ? There is a lot of load on the driving light switch, perhaps is goin bad and produced a short inside the the gauges dimmer wheel couldn't act as it should.

I had a similar issue w/ my 97 crew cab. Finally traced it to a connection under the driver's side door sill. I pulled the plastic cover up and the connection was corroded enough it came apart in my hand.
