My "E-Bay Special" was "lifted" by the previous owners by adding a leaf and turning up the torsion keys to max. As this was my first truck, purchased for the learning curve aspect of it, I was clueless...100%

Discovered bad: Ball Joints, Tie Rods, Pitman, Idler, trans axle seal leaks, cut C/V boots, cracked springs and damaged non-OEM torsion bars and keys.

"Rat Farts!" Seems the previous owners loaded the proverbial 10 lbs bag with 50 lbs of crap!

Replaced everything with: OEM steering components; axles; seals, ball joints and torsion bars (reset to "normal"). Mostly by myself (axles had to go to the stealership).

Added: 3" Rough Country lift kit replacing all bushings and shocks in the process; New BDS rear springs; replaced 15" Pacers and noname 31x10.5 with DC1 Black 17x9 wheels and temporary 30.5 x 10(ish) Firestone's (MT Baja ATZ on list for Father's Day). :D

Getting wiser by the day and getting the job done right with slow and steady progress. But at least its being done correctly. Purchased condition ("truck-small") and current photo ("Sparky") attached.

Thanks for all the great advice and shared experiences on this forum. I've learned a great deal and completed a lot of other repairs by searching and reading and then going for it!

Truck looks great! I wish my paint looked that good. Did you repaint? Nice job. Enjoy.

Pretty lucky on the paint so far. Some "delamination" on the driver door over the window is pretty bad (high pressure laser wash removed about 18'' in one pass!). A couple of small spots on the door jam and inside the fuel door compartment.
