Im still getting engine codes 35 and 36 . I know what they mean; But how can i fix or trouble shoot the problem codes? Any ideas ? Im also wondering about ss diesels 80 hp chip how is it rated ? flywheel hp? or is rated 80 hp to the ground? I found a 60 hp version that is rated 60 hp to the ground. (but that to is debatable because of axle ratio ) i have 4:10 s in mine any advice ?

The most chips are flywheel rated, cauz the stock HP are flywheel rated also.
Codes 35 & 36 could be caused be lazy injectors.

Try this :

Clear the codes
Add a cup of ATF directly into the fuel filter housing
Replace the fuel filter
Add 1,5 quarts of 2-stroke-oil to every full tank (34 gal. tank i suppose - if 26 gal. add about 1 quart).

In most cases, the code stay away/never come back, but in a few cases the could also show up that you PMD is fried.

Sven

If it includes a work permit/green card - WHY NOT !

Normally, this amount of ATF won't harm anything. You should try the 2-stroke-oil. It is equal how old your engine is. The problem is the ULSD. This diesel fuel doesn't lube the IP and the injectors enough as they needed. Give it a try up to 5 full tanks and see if the codes don't come back. THIS oil won't harm anything also.

Where is your PMD ? Still on the pump ? Could fried after this short time. Everthings is possible. I know people, which got no problems with pmd still on the pump after 10 years and others got problems only after half year.

I have/had the same problem with my rig 95 k3500 4x4. I have been running the 2 cycle oil for several weeks and finally the ses light is out and knock on wood no more code 35, 36. Keep running the 2 cycle oil. I was adding as much as 16 ounces per 10-15 gallons of fuel. By the way the truck has never run better. I am very happy!. If problem doesnt resolve you may have a weak fuel solenoid (mechanical). I guess it will depend on the age of the IP.

The Fuel Solenoid is maybe 6 months old .Everything is new when i replaced my motor.I have gone through 2 tanks of fuel since this problem started;and yes i have been adding 2 stroke oil to every tank full as well as kleen flo fuel conditioner.I just took my truck out on a trip this last weekend and got an amazing 20 mpg with my crew cab dually 1 ton.
