Hey folks...I'm JD, 54, and live in eastern NC. I'm a new guy here, been lurkin' off and on for a while learning about these engines and drivetrains.
This truck is stock except for the recent paint and add-ons I've done. It's metallic indigo over metallic pewter with navy leather interior. Very highly optioned with 4.10 rear and 10K towing.
My wife is retired already and I'll be retiring about this time next year. We're planning on selling out and picking up a camper for some full timing on the road for a few years. Work on the "bucket list" for a long while. I knew I wanted a dually....and an inexpensive one to work on if need be, something easy to find parts for. The Chevy fit the bill and looks pretty good too. It's got 127K on the clock and runs fantastic as is.
I may find that I'll be a bit underpowered for the trailer I choose....ideally, I want a 35 ft toyhauler 5'er. But....I may have to settle for a nice tow behind and haul the motorcycle in the bed. Anyway, I'll be around lookin and listening until I get this all figured out.
