i have oil on my turbo all over it i replaced my CDR Valve i thought that was it but the oil came back does anyone know where its coming from and is it a bad thing

the only way oil can get into the turbo is through that CDR valve...unless its coming from inside the turbo, which is a whole different problem all together. Over a period of time the oil will distroy the turbo fins and bearings. Not a good thing. If i were you id get a new CDR valve (cheaper than a new turbo) Just to see if the one you have in is actually working.

Maybe so much pressure in your crankcase, that the CDR Valve couldn't hold back to amount of oil, but it sounds more to a bigger defect direct at the turbo. Perhaps a gasket, the oil line or more. Difficult to diagnosis from here.

I have seen big truck turbos w/ hairline cracks around the fitting where the oil line connects to the turbo. Clean it off real good and give it a close inspection.
