on my 96 6.5 , vin f , the lift pump goes bad about every 3 months with no warning ,it just stops , i got a good ground ,and a solid 12.5 volts going to it it looks like clean fule , i never fule it while it is running ,i have been geting the pumps frome parts plus, i am geting a new one today frome car quest ,any one else have this problem ????? and is there a fix for it ????

what brand is the pump?? The first one I bought from Walt was a Carter. I have since bought 2 more Carters for other trucks from a local jobber at a better price without waiting for shipping. I have had no trouble with the Carters. I also feel you can not go wrong with a AC Delco OEM pump. Walt sells Carters and Walt sells good stuff so that's why I bought more but local.

they have been carter !!! so i went to car quest and perchased the carquest brand !!! i hope this one lasts longer !!!!i dont like running the ip out of fule it dosent do it any good nor the injectors!!!!!

Have you ever cleaned out your fuel tank and or checked the fuel sock in the tank? i'm wondering if the lift pump is working to hard as in it's having a hard time getting fuel from the fuel tank? somewhat plugged fuel sock? There may be other crap in your tank as well who knows? just a few thoughts

it has a new sender modual and when the tank was out i looked in it and it looked clean!!!
