pesky SES

ok this is driving me nuts.
I've changed the egr solenoids, vacuum lines, and egr/baro sensor, but my truck is still flashing codes 32 and 33. I have plugged the egr, so tomorrow I'm going to hook it up and see if that makes a difference, but I've read on here that it shouldn't.

anything else I can do to get rid of the SES?

checked the vacuum today. almost none from the pump at idle...so I think that may have something to do with it. That was the last thing I expected since I can hear the turbo a bit, but I guess I should be able to hear it a lot more.
My new plan is to junk the egr system and vacuum pump and just run a manual boost controller.
will this setup throw codes at me?
