Is there a such thing for a GM-4 turbo? Or is it better just to buy a new turbo?

Sometimes there is such a rebuilt set on EGAY. Just do a search. It should be much cheaper than a new turbo.

Yes, your truck was built with a GM-4 turbo, I would guess... mine was.
As sven states, there is a rebuild kit available on ebay, and you might find a replacement turbo there if you don't want to try to rebuild one...
a new one is pretty steep....
