We removed the head on our 6.5 we just picked up because it was popping out the intake. Turned out to be whoever replaced the bottom end dropped a bracket from a hose down the intake and it ended up under #3 intake valve causing popping back thru the intake.
We removed it and lapped the valve and it sealed great also checked the valve on our grinder and it is not bent. Put it all back together and applied pressure to the cylinder to make sure it was ok and it held great... now...
We fired it up and it has a miss... feeling the exhaust #1 is cold at the manifold. Cracked the injector line loose fuel trickles out while running and didn't notice change in engine running. Cracked open #7 and fuel squirted out and ran rougher...
We did notice that #1 piston had marks on top of it where something was in there at one time, but not now... Can an injector have a piece come off of it that would do that ?
Going to be doing a compression test on at least the left side today.
Can air in the lines make it miss or does that clear out itself imediately, also can an IP miss on one cylinder ?
