Grounding the Heat Sink

I am remote mounting both my PMD's. One has the PMD mounted
on the intake manifold to a heat sink and uses the stock harness.

I see they just used the stock ground wire.

Adding 6 foot harnesses to both and am wondering on the ground??

Should I reattach the ground to the original install point and rely
on the body as ground?? Or do I have to run a separate ground?

Yes, the original ground back in IP, a second ground on heat sink might be overkill, but it would not hurt anything. I have found that there is no such thing as overkill when you are talking about grounds...
