Anybody with ideas on installing Bendix brakeshoes. Over the past 20 years, I have always had a heck of a time getting the brakeshoe holddown pin attached without a 3rd hand. I've tried C-clamp, bunge stap and my knee. None of which really worked. Any additional ideas would be appreciated. Thanks.

Dont buy a cheap one. Cheap ones suck. If you dont wanna buy one, grab a good set of original visegrip brand visegrip pliers and you can just clamp the nose of the tool on the round thing and it will work good too. thats what i usually do. Good luck. Oh yea and those long springs, they make a couple different styles of specialty pliers and stuff to aid in easy removal, reassembly also. NAPA stores usually stock most all these tools.
