So this morning I let my truck warm up before i went to school, On the way to school i noticed my ABS light was on, but my breaks where fine and the truck was running fine, so just messing around, I got to school parked and turned off the truck. Wait a few seconds started it back up and the light went away, and the wait to start light was flashing for a couple second then stopped. I just thought it was something wierd and or is a sign to get a part changed?

There is a lot of sand and salt on the road this time of year, could be a bad signal from one of your sensors, maybe a loose/dirty connection at one of the wheels. From what I hear that the glow plugs do cycle after the truck is started for a couple times, I know my truck does it and I haven't had any problems.

Prior to the ABS light coming on were you experiencing rear wheel spin on an icy surface while hard braking? Reason I ask is last winter I was "rocking" my truck while trying to get out an icy spot and up into my driveway. During the forward-brake-reverse-brake cycle, my ABS light came on, and stayed on until shutdown. Upon restart later, the ABS light did not come on. Concerned by the original ABS light, I went to my trusted mechanic who pulled the code that was set in the ABSCU (the silver box with all the wires next to your hydroboost is the ABS's own computer). It read Excessive modulation/defective modulator (the device that rapidly "pumps" your rear brakes to avoid lockup under hard braking) so we tested the modulator. It was fine, the attempt to extricate myself had evidently bamboozled the computer. He cleared the code, and my ABS has been fine.
