I was moving along with a mildly hard acceleration. I just installed an 80hp chip from Walt so I wanted to see what was going on. It was running strong and my boost was right at steady 15psi. My ses light came on and I immediately backed off the throttle so I don’t know if it defueled or not. I took it easy for the last mile back home. Code 78. Overboost? I know it has something to do with the wastegate not sure exactly what. Question is, should it throw a code with the chip installed? And if it does, will it defuel with the chip installed? I have not been able to get a repeat on the code.
