Well,as if I didnt expect it eventually.... I was informed to get all unlicensed vehicles and parts vehicles removed from property within 30 days..or they are going to remove them and bill me for it(hmmm..well,thats the threat made anyway) rather than me going to jail (cause when they tresspass, jail is a given) and scanning the laws, they can be tarped or fenced out of "given line of sight" anyone else ever run into this?Granted, junkers arent fair to neighbors, but mine are somewhat hidden on the back 40.Further investigation shows a REAL ESTATE agent made the complaint on behalf of one of the homes for sale here.

I get the same BS,but for me its the dogs.they say I have to many, but the
pound wont take them.sounds like you need a nice solid picket fence. But I would consult an lawyer about what the local regulations on vehicles are.
Its suprising what some of them laws are out there.

i understand not wanting junk in plain sight. These are hidden quite well.I couldnt understand how they even saw them unless on my property until I saw the listing sheet on that home she has listed. The satellite pic(of our township) shows them quite clearly.

i know some friends who have unlicensed vehicles on a strata condo property they own. the rules say the vehicles must be insured. so they put storage insurance on it. it shut them up. might want to look into a lawyer or talk to the city and see about storage insurance being sufficient. i can see a realtor complaining. might wanna put up a sign that says grow op busted near here recently:rolleyes: . What dumb a@@ F@@*in neighbor would be lookin into your yard from a satilite anyway? Shouldnt be a problem if out of plain sight from houses, road buildings ect. Im no lawer but thats what id say. Aint the satilite pics an invasion of your privacy? Seeins how none of us can acess a satilite top spy on our neighbors? Thats total BULL!!!! Gues its time to get one of those millitary nets that they hide under and cover your place in that , that would stop the satilite pics. Maybe govt surplus auction? Sorry bout thte situation, hope you come out on top. good Luck

I would like to throw up a good fight..the law is written very loose...but one of my parents is a township trustee.I dont want to cause problems.Actually,Ohio gave the trustees authority to force a cleanup, although this one was initiated at thru the local sheriff.

I know the crappy unleagel system first hand. Sucks when this happens, and now tryin to be respectful you will have to give up some prized possesions. That really sucks. On the brite side, you'll be makin roiom for new treasures. I guess next surplus run you'll be buying netting for the new tresures tho.

How about a laser to upset the satellite.

It's amazing the things you can see via aerial/satellite photo when you Google an address. Here in Lincoln they passed a Junker/clunker Law, that makes it a real bitch on a hobbyist or DIY repairer, to beautify the neighborhoods a few years back. You can not have an unlicensed/unregistered/non-operable vehicle visible on your property for more than 30 days, or $100 per day fine for the next three days, when they tow it, charge you for towing, and fine an additional $500. You can get a six month "hobbyist" permit for $100 that allows it outside, and can only be renewed once after that for the purpose of restoration. You can not tarp a vehicle to keep it out of sight.

It must either be in a garage, or behind a solid fence of sufficient height to preclude it being visible from neighboring property (like a 2nd floor window), so they want them indoors or off the non-commercial property.

Move to Mexico and retire.

Yes move to Mexico, to keep your property clean, everyone parks the wrecks on the street and takes the parts off as needed, others help dismantle it while you are no watching, but it is freedom!!!

Considering its +6 here this morn, that doesnt sound too bad.I have been on this street since 1992,made very good friends and kept the whole street running and a/cs charged ect.My brother and I took off on a 5 wk trip last(was supposed to be 3 days, but thats another story) summer. My yard was perfect on return, home watched and pets and chickens fed daily. My garage has never been locked since moving in and only lost 1 wrench in all those years.Unfortunately, this is from someone whom doesnt even live on this street.Hey Grancito, whats the temps down there right now?

grancito

I hope that's not Cali Columbia, it's a hell of a drive from Panama, 90 Km no road through mountains and swamps. When I was in Panama, I designed outdrives for some German motor cyclists to propel them on rafts through the rivers, their paddles on the back wheels were inefficient.

Around here they can't use sat photo's in court, not sure why. But they did show them to me. I think the problem is they are not up to date. I had theis problem a couple years ago and they showed me the sat photos, first thing a said was those were over a year old. I never saw them again in their dealings and the only thing they could use agaist me is what they could see from the road. They could not trespass to get pictures

This is one of those streets where almost everyone here worked at the same plant(Remington Rand WAS 2 miles away, think in China now),were all close same age ect.All neighbors so good to me,as I bought every junk car sitting in their yards, keep home and auto a/cs going, cars running ect.Unfortunately, they are starting to die off from old age, or high cholestoral as I have been giving them all my egg production(yep, theres free range chickens lurking in the diesel debris) The woman who lived in that house that the agent has now was 93 yrs old and a cool old lady.Even she would have told the agent to go to ****.
