question i have a turned up manul 6.2 pump can i switch it out with my electric pump on my 6.5 or am i gonna end up with a mess?

Everyone wants manual pumps, why would you want electrical? It comes with burden of the PMD and PCM controls. Its a mess, having to add expensive electronic pedal, and PCM etc....

I don't know about pump drives, but I know with certainty you can put a 6.2 pump on a 6.5. So why not the other direction?

Why a 6.2 pump on a 6.5 you ask? Simple, buy a brand new 6.5 long block, scavange for accessories, and run a 6.2 pump until you can afford a 6.5 pump.
