yeah the best thing to do is to take the whole thing out and then you have to seperate the drive shafts take the peice that is still conected to the carrier bearing and take it to your local shop and have them press it off, unless you have a press, oh by the way it has to be pressed back on.

The most important thing is to mark all the joints and yokes and splines so they go back in the same place. If you want to see a truck shake it self off the road just put the shaft back togeather out of phase!! The joints must all line up on the same plane.Good Luck!
