Im still pretty new to diesels, so im not sure how to change the fuel filter, what is the procedure for doing this, on a different note I picked up a new headlight/ parking light switch today ( only $12) hopefully that solves my electrical issue.

Ok, on your fuel filter assembly there is a large black ring, this threads off....then you remove the cartridge, check bottom of cartridge for screen before discarding. Now empty out fuel from unit, make sure you get all crap off bottom. New cartridge has tabs that must line up with slots in housing.(It is helpful to fill housing with diesel before putting catridge in, saves a lot of bleading...) Jump lift pump so it runs, bleed air from black bleeder assembly in top of cartridge.
Start truck, check to make sure all air is out, you are done....

on the firewall, near the lift pump relay, you will find a fuse for lift pump curcuit. hold the metal tab on back of fuse, with fuse still in, onto the hot (live) stud on firewall.
that seems to be the easy way.....
