Rough Country Suspension Lift

I've been reading up on different lift kits for my 1996 K2500 and alot of them seem to be 1200+ dollars but i found the Rough Country Lift Kit for $975.00 and i was just wondering if anyone has every put one in or would recomend a different brand? here is the link for rough country 6" Lift http://www.roughcountry.com/chevy_88-98_4-6.asp

Okay, I'm a Rancho fan and i would only buy a Rancho suspension lift kit.
That's my opinion, but perhaps this article could help you to make your decision easier :

Okay the lift kits are for the later Silverado, but i think it is possible to build you own thoughts.
