From the C/K models, only the Tahoe and Suburban K1500 had the 4WD Autotrac-System.

Since the Silverado is avaible you can order it on the K1500 Pickups also.


The "4WD Auto" means that you are driving with 2-wheel-drive and only if there's any slip detected by the ABS-sensors a visco clutch will immedeately engage the frontaxle and give you full traction on all wheels. This System was only availble on K1500 modell due to 4L60E tranny needed. The Diesel and the most K2500/K3500 run the 4L80E tranny.
