I sent a question to SSDiesel 3 days ago and still have not heard back from them. I'm sure they are really busy but I wanted to make sure it got to them. Maybe one of you know if they sell the gaskets for the intake manifold for the 6.5TD. I'm ready to make my order but I want to add the gaskets to it before ordering. I answer 150 emails PER DAY 5 days a week!! I don't go to sleep everynight until EVERYONE is answered! That equates to an average 16 hour day! Don't know how to do any more then that! I recently started taking weekends off to gain back my health and sanity. All work and no play....well you know the story. ALL inquiry's M-F will be answered. Weekends, I'll be out wrenching in the garage.

I get MANY of my responses returned un-read because of spam blockers kicking them back. Also, many that fill out the contact page, mis-spell their email addresses and can't get a response. It is very frustrating to spend time writing a lengthy response only to have it rejected. If you don't get a response within 24 hours, check your spam folder for it and/or adjust your spam settings, then re-send your inquiry.

Walt, I hope you didn't take my question about reply time as a complaint. I was just trying to make sure my question got to you. I was trying (hoping) to get my order in before the weekend. I can only imagine how busy you must be! I'm sure that I speak for most of the people here on the forums that we really, really, appreciate the time you take to answer all our questions no matter how big or small they are. If my question came off as me being impatient or insinuating that you all don't give a quick reply then I apologize from the bottom of my heart. It was NEVER meant to come off that way at all. Hope you have a enjoyable weekend!

I have had the same problem with responses from Walt, before. Those of us who have Hotmail or Yahoo are S.O.L. Last summer there was a big announcement by both free providers that they have so many accounts that it is overwhelming their systems, and they cannot guarantee delivery nor receipt of everything. I average about one of every three or four inquiries to Walt not receiving a reply. I know for a fact that Walt has replied to them, because he remembers my sometimes arcane questions and their specifics, yet I never received a reply, my junk basket is empty, and my spam is down for SSDS. The answer is just blowin' in the wind!

Garth, my Hotmail account is my normal address, as I personally don't have on-line access at home (divor$e) so I can use Hotmail where ever I can get on-line access. I access sixfive forum from the same places. I personally started having problems receiving replies from Walt last June, at the same time I also started having problems sending and receiving from other people. What do I expect from something free? Walt and I have corresponded on this subject, I understand his view completely. It is just as frustrating for him as it is for me, especially knowing that his answer is just floating around somewhere out there in Internet Limbo.

I was just stating to Fox that there are other factors involved, Walt does answer everything, and the Internet is not 100% a sure thing.

I've always gotten responces back in 24 or so hours. I have a (.mil) account though, that may be the diffrence. If your military, you will know what I mean.;)

Im way too old for the military...lol but I know what you mean its strange that he didnt answer as you know he is usually right on his mail.
Try again who knows maybe it went into cyber space ...
