quit drunk posting, or insulting your english teacher! :D j/k IDK why you arent making power, as turbo diesels dont need the scavengeing effect of an exhaust. maybe there is another issue at hand.

...don't GAIN horsepower....a "free flowing" intake and a less restrictive exhaust system allow turbo to "spool" or reach "boost" making rpm's faster...so that the power band starts at a slightly lower engine rpm than factory stock, thus making your truk a little faster off the line when breaking out of rolling resistance with that insanely overloaded trailer that ya'll always seem to want to pull with your 1/2ton pick-ups...jd

they refer to the tq/ hp gains after removing factory exhausts that were required to meet emissions standards. In the US,emissions are air and noise..thats why you end up with street tires on HD trucks from the factory....soot collectors and DPF's..all which are somewhat restrictive...I dont trust their "gains" so to speak..as Trucdoc said,it actually just causes hp/tq to move down a few hundred rpms(come in earlier) because of better breathing.Although you are right on the no exhaust messing up your powerband..I just took mine off the Dodge(5.9 cummins) to take it to the exhaust shop to get rid of the soot collector..it ran terrible without it...I spend a few bucks/yr on Diesel World and Diesel power magazines..all they seem to write about is how to change your exhaust..at least 1 or 2 writeups/month each...this month was a Caddy with a p pump..big whoop..I wouldnt even ride to town in something that looks like that..they have been raving about that car..looks like a crackhead mobile to me
