 i been tossing around selling my truck to upgrade to an 8ft bed and came across a sweet 2000 k3500 8ft bed crew cab single rear axle with the whole nine yards....lifted 6", boost & pyro pillar gauges, big tires, 3" down pipe with 4" exhaust straight back, cooling system upgrade, pmd cooler with #9 resister, chipped i believe, exhaust, ect., and spotless. almost couldn't ask for a better find. just wondering what something like that would be worth? has 98,000 miles. he says he gets about 21mpg and use to tow his old 9000lbs boat and he didn't even know it was behind him. test drove it and it shifts good and runs like a cadillac. the dash is cracked, brake light is on because he said he pulled the abs fuse, temp controls only work on hi and low....no mediums, and there are some wires hanging around exposed from other lights and what not he use to have. under body has minimal rust. he has 2 other chevy gas job trucks and 2 cars and sold his boat so he said it spends most time in the garage and don't get used anymore. hes a picture. he told me to throw a price out first, but not sure whats reasonable to start with?

WOW THATS A SWEET TRUCK, I"D SAY JUST JUST START THROWING MONEY AT HIM TILL HE TURNS OVER THE KEYS! Ok , ok so I might be just a bit partial in this. But at this point I have to jump in anyway, it seems I've gotten a few emails and calls from friends asking me why I was selling and why I didn't say something to them first. So here it is in a nut shell, I purchased a tonnuea cover for one of my other trucks from big papa wack a few months ago and when I went to pick it up I had this truck with me. He started to look at the truck and seemed to really like it as this was what he was really looking for with the 8' bed and all. So we got to talking about and I thing I mentioned that I was selling my boat or had already sold it and with work the way it is going these days I might be down sizeing the fleet and might be selling this in the future. So he remembered that, when he got a offer for his truck he called me and asked if I was still thinking of selling. And I told him if the price was right it might be, throw me a offer and we'll see. Other wise the truck is not listed anywhere for sale. I never expected to be told that its on various web sites for sale. Anyway I thought I just needed to clear that up a bit. And as far as the discription goes I guess it's kind of a compliment and slam all in one I think? Wires hanging down , ok as far as some wires hanging down there from the work lites in back that I never got to tieing up into harness yet. and the crack in dash is driving me nuts looking for it. The brake lite I told him was due to the fact that I pulled the abs fuse I got tired of dealing with the abs quirks on this series. and since I grew up in a time where abs and traction control was controled by your right foot it really did't bother me much. And to actually fixing it it probaby needs the control unit . Its about 500 to 600 ? plus a scanner to bleed the brakes , I think? And the temp controls needs to have the temp control unit replaced . all this was mentioned to him. Custom cars and trucks are usually not done so as to turn around and sell at a profit. Its all done on personnel preferance and when it does come time to sell for what ever the reason, you hope to find someone with the same interest in modifications that you had. You can sometimes get a bargin if what has been done is in good condition .therefore saving the expense of doing it yourself. things are not cheap these days. So my suggestion is to take the value of the car or truck than add in all the modifications and the price should be somewhere in between that. Of course all depends on condion. Anyway I think this is the most that I ever had to say, sorry. If any one wants to jump in and add anything please do. Also at this point he has a full details including web sites where the upgrades were purchased. The whole list of upgrades will be updated in my area. Again sorry for the long post.
