View Full Version : Really annoying noise in the front

So this has been going on for a while, and i couldnt make out where the sound was but then i did recently, thinking its the front end old and worn out? Because when i turn the wheel you can also hear the sound, dunno if anyone has ever heard this sound also? Or needs more information on it :)

Need more info!!! Ckunk? Whine? Squeak? Rattle?etc Change with speed? Only in turns? Worse in turns? Brake on or off? Rough road or smooth? With all the info the best I can do guess with out hearing it or feeling it.

haha sorry, im slow :), Yeah its a squeeky noise when the truck leans left to right and in turning a little bit, by the way i have new breaks all around, rotars and pads, and im missing a lug nut on one of the wheels, will that make it squeek?
It will also squeeks when going down the road, and if you bounce on it it makes the sound

Sounds to me like ball joints need grease. Grease them and see if sound goes away. Probably will need to change them if they are at that point that they squeak.

so i greased everything up and spayed some lub on all the bushings, rides much better now and steers alot better! kinda scarey when i only saw new grease come out and saw the truck raise a little, thanks!!

like kbates said grease it first. 6 lug or 8 lug if 8 lug check the lug nut torque. The studs after being pressed in might have seated and the lug nuts could have loosened a little. What kind of pads?? Good ones with sound shims or cheepos with no shims? The (cheep) pads could be the problem. Squirt some thing like WD40 or CRC on all the "A" arm bushings , stabilzer link pins etc. See if it goes away. Have Funn and Good luck

I had a really annoying noise in the front too. I bought her her own vehicle to drive so I don't have to listen to her.
