hey, i am getting a mechanical wastegate control, and a turbo gauge, and was wondering how high i can turn up the PSI on my turbo before things start getting dangerous. its pretty much stock , i just have 3" straight piped exhaust...

oh alright thank you :) if i ran it taht high, would it be highly reccomended that i get ATLEAST the #9 resistor? i will eventually get the ecu, but surplus funds arent bountiful at this time :P

i would go with the #9. It is dangerous and hard on the engine to run it at 15 psi. you better have a spare engine ready!

Sustained is 15 psi, brief intermittent to 17 psi. This is according to Walt. Any more than that and you will either blow the heads off, the head gaskets out, or bend rods. These are 22:1 compression diesels, so you don't need to run high boost. A #9 will help provide more fuel to take advantage of the increased intake charge, but marine injectors will really make a difference, not to mention what chipping it will do, but the 80hp chip/ECM also controls the boost to 15psi.
