Where is the ecm for the tansmission,I believe I fried mine..

what all trucks have that same ecm? does it have to be diesel? it has a 4l80e in it.

Behind the glove box. Silver box about 5x8inches. My brother just took his out. He's got a Cummins with 5speed, so it's not needed. I'll tell him if you want it.

Also, why do you think it's fried?

I put a cummins in my truck and I'm usin the 4l80e behind it untill I have enough money to put a Allison 1000 behind with a standalone computer, Something got really hot and was burning and I can't find any wires burnt anywhere...so I'm thinkin it's the computer

I'm guessing your tranny is acting up too? If you want that computer I'll tell my brother.

On a side note is there any difference in the TCM's for the different years of 4L80es? Such as between a '92 gasser and a '95 6.5L?
