99 sub cat removal

just wondering i have a 99 sub w/ a factory catalytic conveter would there be a noticable improvement in power or econo if i removed it ?it is still all stock exh

Yes !

Mostly this diesel cat also called soot trap is filled with soot so much, that the real diameter to breathe out for the engine is very small. So, the best you can do for your engine/truck is, remove the complete system from turbo back with a 4" system without a kitty. Muffler or not depends on how loud you like it ? Mine is a Warpspeed system and I'm totally satisfied with. Not too loud (incl. a muffler with louvers inside facing rear) while driving at highway speed, but present if you push the pedal to the metal.
