hey can the cpr valve be washed out and cleaned with varisol or anything else or does a guy have to buy a new one thanks for any info.

I wish someone else would have answered your question because I to question the replacement frequency I see recommended I have 2 trucks with about 200 k each and still running on my original units. I clean them with carb cleaner and an air hose. No problems so far.

I'd rip it off and toss it personally . . . Regular old breather works just fine :cool:

...I've never replaced a cd valve never...I've also never"ripped one off"" it doesn't hurt a d#$% thing to be where it is it's only function was to reroute oil fumes from crankcase back to engine intake instead of atmosphere...so your turbo boot gets a little oily so what...if you live in area with stringent emission testing at inspection time in texas you will FAIL...everything has to be on and intact and hooked up...the plastic silencer on my 6.2 dooley was a b&^%$ to find so it would pass jd
