I think I finally sold my 6.5l. Partially paid, I still have the truck. It will be missed. It plowed awesome, except for loosing reverse.

However along with it goes my snow plow. Now I need a new (old) one. I'm looking at a truck with an older Leo Plow. They were made here in MN, I guess they went out of business somehow. However I've never heard of them before. My dad always swore by Western. I've used Boss and Fisher plows. The Western are more well built to last in my opinion, but the Boss and Fisher were nice and easy to put on.

Anyway just checking if anyone has heard of Leo plows, or knows if they are any good? All I know is they were popular way back when. I don't think they made the switch to having everything come off with the plow, so the lights and stuff stay on the truck.

Ok, just in case anyone was wondering, I found out more about the Leo plows. Made down in the twin cities, they were made primarily for townships and other municipalities. They are very heavy duty (as well as very heavy) and had a good reputation for being very strong. They use a generic pump and a set of 3 simple hydraulic cylinders. They are a weld on and heavily braced to the frame. Simply one lever and a chain attachment.

I bought the truck, and this plow has a bunch of surface rust that hopefully someday I will get sandblasted off before it rusts too deep. It may be a little overkill for my 200ft driveway, but my neighbor that is starting to have trouble with using his tractor to plow might like it.

Have fun,
