I have a 92 3500 dually and was considering a turbo upgrade after other mods have been performed. Will any of the later model (GM8) turbos work with a 92 or is there too much difference between the mechanical/eletrical set ups?

a GM8 will bolt right on, but the wastegate control needs to be dealt with. your 92 has a spring loaded wastegate, but the spring loaded setup wont mount to the GM8, so you need to make the GM8 wastegate spring loaded somehow.
Option 1: You will need to buy a Turbo master from somewhere, online, a certain few vendors, etc. basically a turbo master is an adjustable version of what is on your current turbo, basically a spring loaded arm, but it is adjustable.
Option 2: is to tear apart the vaccuum canister and gut it, and thread the end of the shaft and make your own turbo master.

I've got a GM8 for you. Wastegate has been dealt with. 250.00, you ship.

Make search of this site, from what I have seen the later turbos have better flow. They may lag in spooling, that is the compromise with turbos.
