HI all,
Does anyone know the best wrenches for the IP install and the install of new tubes. What size are they also please. There are so many offset types that I want to make sure I have what I need prior to installing this. Since I really dont want to buy two sets of sae and metric, does anyone know what size they are? 1995 6.5L TD "F"

Here the answer to sizes:
Injector pump takes a 15mm.
Nuts on the lines will accept 3/4"
However, I don't buy offett wrenches. Neither application requires a high strength wrench. I buy cheapo end wrenches from tractors supply for about $five bucks each. Then I heat them up with a torch and bend to different angles. Now you have a wrenches for any degree. I have a whole drawer full of different size end wrenches bent for special jobs. Anytime I find something I can't quite get an end wrench to go on, I go buy a cheapo wrench and bend for the appl.
Just my way of keeping from getting all pissed off sometimes.

Thanks KB, that a nice idea! I seen an injector wrench set for like 125.00 and dont really want to buy the two wrenches for that for maybe a one or two time use! Thanks

Just buy a cheap set of metric tube nut wrenches (you know, look like a box wrench with a slot cut in it to slip over the tube) and use them. It's all I've ever used (mine are Snap On, but I used to wrench for a living) to remove and install my injector lines on my IP and injectors with no clearance problems.

I dont remember using any special wrenches when i last chaged my ip. I used the longer handle Blue Point (snapon's cheaper line) regular combination wrench. Slim, longer handle worked well. Craftsman are shorter and thicker. There is a slight bit of working around, but as i recall its totally doable with a regular set of wrenches. Bottom nut on ip i think i got with a wrench, but if not, i know you can get at it with a long extension, swivel, and shallow socket. Id recomend taping the socket, universal, and extension together. It beats gettin a magnet out to fish the lost item from the valley. Good luck
