I Talked To Walt A Couple Of Times A Few Weeks Ago And He Gave Me Some Great Information But The Truck Still Does Not Want To Stay Running. Im Seeking Walts Help Again (and Yours) Because Hr Is The Only One Who Seems To Know What He Is Talking About. I Have A 1995 Gmc 3500 Hd W/ Stake Body, 59,000 Miles. Standard Trans W/ The Great 6.5 Turbo. I Replaced The Fuel Filter, Lp Pump And And Switch. The Truck Will Start And Run For Several Minutes Then Violently Shut Down. When I Try To Restart The Truck Spits And Sputters But Wont Actually Run. I Got Three Codes From The Truck, 18,19 And 29. My Main Problem Is The "know It Alls" Down Here That Try To Help Me Keep Steering Me Wrong. My Question Is, Is The Pmd Bad Or The Injection Pump. My Buddy Works For The Electric Company And They Replaced Everything Before Realizing There Was Air In The System, Could This Be My Problem And How Do I Know. Its Christmas And Money Is Tight So I Dont Want To Change Everything If I Dont Have To. Ss Diesel Supply Is A Great Website And I Love This New Forum. I Hope I Can Count On You Guys To Keep My Truck Running For A Long Time. Thanks Jim

Easiest way to check for air is to listen to the engine while its running. If it sounds like a rod is knocking, it could actually be a misfiring injector. Crack the high pressure lines while engine is running (be careful) one at a time and when fuel starts spitting out, give it a couple seconds and the air should be gone.
