On cranking a warmed up vehicle, do you still need to wait on the waiting light to go off? Will it damage anything?

I have cranked mine for years w/o waiting. All it is is the timer for the glow plugs and you don't need glow plugs on a warm engine.
My Opinion, your mileage may vary.

I got my first 6.2 over 20 years ago and with a warm engine have never waited for the glow plugs and haven't blown up any thing yet!

Been driving 6.2/6.5 since 6.2 CUCV's and HMMWV's in the Army in the mid 80's. We didn't wait for the glowplug light with a warm engine. What? Get shot by the enemy waiting for the little "Wait to Start" light to go out? No way! Never did anything negative to the motor. Just don't try cold starts without using the plugs.
