K47 Air Box

I just found a K47 Air Box online and have it reserved till next week. I built my own air box out of FRP and basically enclosed my SSD air intake and connected it to the stock intake (it ain't pretty at all). How would what i built compare to the K47 air box? Also if i get the K47 whats the best filter? I have always liked K&N.

Amsoil 100,000 mile warranty filter would be best in either case IMHO.
