Hi, could someone give me a readers digest version of how to replace a/c/heater fan switch in 1995 c2500? I only have high setting left. I looked into getting new switch and it looks like there is a couple different looking switches so I thought it would be best to take apart before I went and bought the replacement switch. I looked at the dash quickly and didn't see any screws holding it in, wondering how it comes apart. Thanks for any and all hints.

Are you sure it's the switch and not the blower motor resistor? High speed only is usually by default the only speed when the resistor is bit the dust. It's located at the blower motor, pull and check it first.....probably cheaper and easier replacement too.

ok, I went to try and find blower resistor. Looked all over around the blower fan, took the glove box out traced wires back from blower but they don't seem to lead to this resistor. Any hints on exact location?

Look under the hood, by the blower motor, in the ducting. You should see it bolted into the housing/duct with a connector going to it.

Still did not see it under the hood? If I take the fan motor out will I see it inside the ducting?
