ok so i got several thing on my 98 3500 6.5 td, i got... marine injectors, #9 resistor, fsd cooler, instant heat glow plugs, 4in exhaust, custom cold air intake(which i will be post up some pics soon and you guys are gonna be way jealous) and banks chip. after replacing the injectors and driving on it for a week or so now i notice that this motha puts out quit a bit of black smoke in full throtle. this is normal with marine injectors right? also i just noticed today that when i start the truck there is this great little poof of black smoke out the exhaust. i never noticed this before.... is this something i should be concerned with? thanks

I see you have a lot of up grades on that truck but you forgot the most important thing! Boost and EGT gauges. How do you know whats going on??? You could have the right fuel and not enough boost you will get black smoke and high EGTs Not Good! You could have enough boost and be over fueling you will get black smoke and high EGTs Not Good!! You can not tell without the gauges. 15lbs boost and 1150deg f at WOT on a long hard pull and some black smoke thats OK. But how do you know with out the GAUGES??? The first up grade in my opinion is the gauges that way you know whats going on stock and as you make improvements you can see the difference. Also you will know if you are over doing some thing that will cost you with damage to the engine $$$$
