Anyone here from Florida ? I'm looking for some pictures of badges/decals from Sheriff's Departments in Florida, especially Miami area, like Monroe County, Orange County, Golden Beach County, Palm Beach County ...

I would be great if anyone got some pics for me. I want to "built" a custom sheriff pickup truck here in germany for show use only. Christja bought some flashers on ebay.com for me, i got a Whelen SpecTIR8 LED dash mount in my truck, ordered a siren and now need some decals.

Best regards,
Sven

Not bad, but I'm looking for some STARS (pic 2-4) like the attachment below WITH the text of the badge (1. pic). I got many pictures of those, but all i got are to small. The picture should have about min. 1000 x 1000 dpi for a good print quality.

What exactly are you trying to do? I used to build police/fire/EMS vehicles for a company. The graphics on the outside were almost an after thought. We cut them out of scothlite on a plotter.

The real nuts and bolts went into the electrical systems and cabinets. We put in dual battery isolators, Charging Systems, Solenoids, 140amp alternators. Light bars, Strobe Lights, Scene lights, Radio's, Sirens, Gun Racks, 2000w power inverters, Generators piped to the vehicles fuel tank and just about everything else you can imagine. I've built trucks for PD's from NYPD to Honolulu.

If you're interested in any info on the emergency light+power stuff let me know.

I want to build a sheriff's show car, that doesn't have to be original, but should look like. Actually installed Whelen SpecTIR8 on the dash. Convert the center high stop light and cargo lamps with led lamps to a rear flasher. A look-a-like pumpgun mounted to the overhead console(rifle-it). Perhaps i install a wig-wag flasher also. Then i 'll put in a siren, like wail and/or yelp and some decals, that have to be digital printed on a magnetic underground that i can remove the decals if i want, because the truck is also used on normal street driving and with decals, it could give problems with the REAL police. I will use the decals only for shows.

So what i need in the moment is some high resolution pics from decals of some sheriffs department in Florida like the first one in my post above.

Sven

I would suggest buying whelen products, they are the best quality. If you really would like to go the extra mile, you can get a liberty light bar. In the states they are legal to have on the road because all of the lights are clear when they are off. I would put a 6 Head strobe pack in, 90w x 6 (60w x 6 isn't usually bright enough) reverse and tail, and front head lights or turn signals.

Whelen TIR3 Lights are great Putting them on the running boards is usually a nice place to put them. The sides are usually overlooked. Typically we put 500 series lights on the front and rear fenders. These are called intersection lights. They are useful when you pull into an intersection and your nose is sticking out.

For a siren, i found a Federal Signal PA300 on ebay for cheap $100USD It has the normal tones except phaser and a microphone. The only drawback is that you cannot do a whoop, with it in the manual mode.

Take a look at http://www.odysseyauto.com/vehicles/deliveries/recdeliveries.html

Some of the vehicles i've worked on are still on there.

If you want to know more about any vehicle on that site let me know and I will tell you what i can.

The truck i want to built is driven daily and due to the german laws every exterior lightning have to controlled and accepted by an organisation called TÜV. There you have to go normally ervery two years to check the whole car if it is street legal and no big problems like rust, damage and so on. They also check the emissions. If i want to put a lightbar on the roof, i will get many problems with the police and the TÜV here, because the are not legal in every color incl. clear. And only to put on for shows, that is to expensive. So everything i can do is, things that you can remove in seconds like magnetic decals, dash light, etc. or things you can't see, like center mount stop light flasher (if they are not switched on). Sorry but that are the rules in germany. Sidemarker are only allowed in yellow and that since about one or two years ago the first time. Before they were forbidden.

I'm interested in the siren that you wrote in your post. Would be great if you could mail me a link to this ebay auction.

I would do much more on the truck but the most things aren't legal in germany and i can't afford to buy another one for use and take this one for show use only. So everthing i do have to be legal or hidden ! :(

I Just took a look on ebay and i could only find the siren speakers, not the controller boxes. Here is a great website for fire and police products.

http://www.galls.com/style.html?assort=general_catalog&style=SK125

I think you should get a set of Mirror Beams, They are LED lights you mount on your side view mirrors. They can double as turn signals if you wanted to.
http://strobeguy.safeshopper.com/80/2418.htm?434

I have to show you a picture of my dodge dakota , ill post when I get home. I have over 500 blue and white led's that i made my self in the head liner and the grill and the back deck that cost me around $150 to make. I could detach them in under 10 minutes if I wanted to.

Mirror beams look great, but they are visible to the german cops and normally turn signals at the side of cars/truck have to be yellow/amber. Only a fex exceptions for the rear turnsignal in red for some US-Models and old vehicles.
The next prob is they are only availble for the 2000-> Silverados and not for the C/K model + an additional 100 $. So the price went up to 299,99 $. Too much ( for every part i order in the US comes shipping to germany, tax and a custom fee -> so you can double the price of buying).

IThanks, but i already know the galls website and some more like sirennet.com, able2products.com, lshlights.net, whelen, Code3, Strobes-r-us, fedsig, tomar, south west public safety and some more in europe incl. a german official whelen distributor.

Some pictures of your dakota would be great to see. Send you my email adress via private message.
