I would never exceed 1200 especially if thermocouple is after turbo.

1100*F PRE-TURBO is the maximum sustained EGT for the 6.5 with brief spikes to 1200*F. If you have your pyrometer probe mounted post-turbo, I would NOT excede 900*F POST-TURBO.

Thanks so much for the advice. I just had my 4" exhaust put on this morning. Sounds great. It was ss diesel of course. The guage package will be next.
